SWANSEA’S FREE INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL | Saturday 13 – Sunday 14 July | 11am – 6pm
Enjoy a free two-day dance festival this summer in Swansea!
Once again, Taliesin brings together performers from across the UK and beyond, dancing alongside local dance groups, in a world-class dance festival.
Traditional and contemporary, circus and parkour, this year’s programme features a dazzling variety of dance performance for everyone to enjoy. This year there are lots of opportunities to join in too. Folk Dance Remixed invite you to learn a funky routine to live music around the Maypole or join the crowd and dance a unique Ceilidh on Saturday 13 July in Castle Square. On Sunday 14, alongside Swansea Marina Market, learn to juggle, spin a plate, diabolo and more in Circus Eruption’s open workshop.
Don’t miss the fabulous opportunity to see an amazing array of free outdoor dance events.
All performances within the festival are free and open to all and with dances repeated throughout the day you shouldn’t miss a thing! We do encourage you to call the box office or visit the website before the festival weekend, to book your place for Kapow’s promenade performance ‘Climb the City’ (limited capacity).
Accessible performances come from 2Faced Dance, whose show includes audio description, BSL and a touch tour, and Joss Arnott Dance who offer audio description to download, as well as stay-and-play sessions for young people to meet the cast and learn some of the elements of ‘PULSE!’.
